The Erica J. Holloman Scholarship: Empowering the Next Generation Through Education
Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to create change, uplift communities, and honor the legacies of those who came before us. The Pi Sigma Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. continues this mission each year by offering the Erica J. Holloman Scholarship, a program dedicated to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education.
This scholarship stands as a tribute to Dr. Erica J. Holloman, a woman whose life was devoted to education, advocacy, and service. It not only carries on her legacy but also provides students with the opportunity to follow their dreams and make an impact in their own communities.
A Scholarship in Honor of a Legacy
Dr. Erica J. Holloman was a scientist, educator, and community leader who touched countless lives. She was passionate about education and deeply committed to serving others, particularly in the fight against Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). Even after her passing, her dedication to knowledge and empowerment lives on through the work of the Erica J. Holloman Foundation and the annual Pi Sigma Zeta scholarship in her name.
By supporting students on their academic journey, this scholarship ensures that her impact continues to grow, helping shape the next generation of leaders, professionals, and changemakers.
Helping Students Achieve Their Dreams
The Erica J. Holloman Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and a commitment to service—values that Erica herself embodied. Higher education can be expensive, and for many students, financial barriers stand in the way of their success. This scholarship helps alleviate that burden, allowing recipients to focus on their studies and aspirations without the added stress of financial strain.
Whether students are pursuing careers in STEM, healthcare, education, or community advocacy, this scholarship serves as a stepping stone to success. It is more than just financial aid—it’s an investment in the future.
